This series consists of the Locomotive Foreman's Log Books. Train drivers and crews allocated to various locomotives each day on the Tasmanian rail system are recorded and also maintenance and other significant information relating to the running of locomotives that is required to be communicated to the drivers or alternatively to the Foreman for his attention. The entry for each day consists of the engine/class number and driver and fireman allocated for each route number to be travelled. There are also entries for communications and travel arrangements for relief crews and their destinations. Engines that are withdrawn for service, repairs and refuelling are also entered along with sick and absent crew's names. Each page is checked and counter signed and dated on completion.
