Series notes:
This series consists of plans of the District Engineer, South, of the Tasmanian Government Railways in Hobart. The plans are mainly of civil engineering construction in the south of Tasmania. Many of them are copies of plans kept in Launceston by the Civil Engineering Branch. These have been extensively annotated to show alterations and as constructed details. The main features shown in these plans are station yards, junctions, signalling details, some bridges and fixtures such as diesel fuelling plants. Lines present within this collection include the Main Line and Derwent Valley Lines, including junctions with branch lines such as to the Florentine Valley.

The plans are folded to A4 size and housed in file folders.

These records are part of the holdings of the Tasmanian Archives
