Chronological. Continuous single number from 1916. There are three sequences: Un-numbered dockets for 1858 and 1870-1915. Files numbered 3 - 1000 from January 1916 to February 1930. There are gaps in both these sequences. Thereafter files are sentenced in accordance with Disposal Schedule 16 and this series contains only those files relating to major crimes. ;;;;Temporary Transfers of files not sentenced as Permanent are also held, but all enquiries should be directed to the Office of the Director of Public Prosecutions.
